Hey
I’m someone who used to have 67,845 unread emails in their inbox.
(Don’t worry, I fixed it)
So, back in 2012, when I got a job working for a large travel company, and it was someone else’s full-time job to do email marketing, I just didn’t get it. At all.
I thought: “Who reads emails anyway?”
Because I never read mine back then!
But obviously, people do.
My email lists have open rates of 30-50%.
This proves, that people are reading at least a third of their emails, on average.
For my travel blog, my email list is SO VALUABLE, that if I lost everything else
– If my social media accounts got banned, my organic search went to zero, my YouTube channel got shut down –
I would still be absolutely fine, because the revenue from my email list alone would be enough to feed my family.
That’s a very blessed position to be in.
It takes the stress away, for sure.
So of course, email is also part of the strategy for my new website – Vegan Wins.
When it comes to email marketing, there are only two things you need to be concerned with…
- Growing the list
- Sending emails
Growing the list is easy enough.
- If you have website traffic – Use forms on your website
- If you have a social following – Use tools like Manychat
- If you have some money – Use Facebook ads
After some initial testing, all of these methods are pretty much set and forget.
But what about sending emails?
Well, that can be a real ball-ache.
Writing compelling emails takes a lot of time.
Plus, you need the skills to write in a way that makes people want to read your words.
You can’t just get those skills overnight.
You need to practice writing every day, for years.
Do you really want to spend two hours writing an email to send to your list of 100 people, so that 30 of them will read it and a couple might click through?
Of course not.
You’re not stupid.
There’s no ROI there.
This is why so many people ignore email.
I have the same issue with my new vegan website.
It’s new, so the list is really small.
I have no time to devote to writing and sending emails.
So you know what I did?
I outsourced everything.
I can relax knowing that every person who joins my email list will get a newsletter every week for 6 months.
Yep, I have a full six month’s worth of content ready to be sent on autopilot.
What a feeling!
I’ve worked with ContentPit for years because their team have always crafted super high-quality articles for me.
So when I heard that they were launching a newsletter management service, I was like “TAKE MY MONEY!”
However, there was a bump in the road…
Email marketing was a brand-new service for them.
And I needed to know the emails would be 10/10s.
Otherwise, there’s no point, right?
So I met with the owner of ContentPit, Youssef.
He’s a lovely chap.
Over a coffee, I could see how keen he was to make this email service the best in the world.
And I wanted it to be great as well, so I could use it!
So we came up with a deal…
I would help his writing team learn how to craft killer emails, and they would write my first 6 months of emails for free.
You see, I’ve done a TON of learning about email marketing via courses, and also from my own trial and error.
But, a lot of that knowledge was deep in my scramble of a brain –
How could I pass all of that over to the team at ContentPit so that they knew how to write killer emails?
Well, I cheated.
I opened my favourite email newsletter course and I got AI to transcribe the videos.
It pulled out the key points and then turned that into a document that the writers could use.
I’m not sorry, I needed to make sure nothing was missed!
I also wrote an example email, so the writers could see my ideal format.
It worked!
I now have a six-month sequence of excellent emails that engage the readers and drive traffic back to my site.
Plus, any time I want more, I can just click this button to order.
Woohoo!
If you want to never worry about what to send in your email, I highly recommend that you check out Content Pit’s email newsletter management service.
The emails are evergreen, so people can join the sequence at email 1 at any point in the future.
Content Pit will even upload them to Convertkit, Beehiiv, MailLite or whatever email service you use, so you don’t have to lift a finger!
They handle all the automation too, so if you have multiple forms and lead magnets, they’ll route each person to the correct sequence and tag them all up correctly.
And you don’t need to use my format – you can send them your own templates or examples of how you want your emails to look and they’ll follow that instead.
Do you need more email subscribers?
Content Pit can also create your lead magnets.
And they can even set up your Facebook ads to grow your list fast.
So, whatever stage you’re at with email,
Whether you have zero subscribers or 100,000,
If you’d like someone to take it all off your plate, then this solution is for you.
Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to help.
I want you to succeed in this.
