#133 | I’m doing SEO again. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hello

Since I quit SEO a year ago to focus on Facebook and email traffic, life has been a JOY!

A lot of people have been saying SEO IS DEAD FOR BLOGS.

Is it?

Well, yes.

But also no.

SEO is just very different now.

But I have some grand plans.

Here they are…

Why are people saying SEO is dead for blogs?

2 reasons…

  1. Blogs don’t rank on the first page of Google for most of the queries they used to.ย That is true.
  2. Most queries that blogs used to rank for can be answered better by AI overviews.ย That’s also true.

And for those reasons, I’m out!

Going after long-tail informational queries is just NOT something I’m going to do.

It’s pointless.

But what about product focused keywords…?

You can’t deny that high-ticket or subscription-based products can be very lucrative if you can sell them as an affiliate.

Affiliates sometime make more than the brands themselves from each sale.

Hello, 50% commissions ๐Ÿ‘‹

If you sell someone a 4-pack of toilet paper on Amazon you might make a few pennies.

But, sign someone up to a subscription of ultra-luxury bog roll that’s delivered every month and you’re onto a winner.

Yes, I was a toilet paper influencer in the past.

My site, Vegan Wins, is born to be an affiliate site.

As I said last week, the potential audience is tiny and the ad RPMs are tiny too thanks to the non-US audience.

But, I know that if we can create the very best product reviews, then big brands will be paying us not just with commissions, but with sponsorships.

Ker-ching!

Real, in-depth product reviews CAN get traffic from organic search.

Don’t believe me?

Try it.

Search for a review of a product like your favourite skincare or protein powder.

Sure, the brand will rank top, and then an ecom store, and then Reddit, Trustpilot, a newspaper, blah blah, whatever.

But for the people who are searching for a real, unbiased review by a real person who’s tried it? They will scroll.

Or, they’ll find you in the number 1 spot on Bing. LOL.

Someone will share your review on Reddit, or social media, or text it to their mum.

If it’s good, people will find it.

And with high-commission products, you don’t need aย lotย of people to find it.

What I need for this masterplan…

First, I need a team.

I’m outsourcing everything for Vegan Wins, so I need a team of talented and hardworking vegans in the UK who don’t mind the mental load of endless products turning up on their doorstep!

When I’ve had an affiliate site myself in the past, I actually grew to hate the sound of the doorbell as I knew it would be a big box of stuff I had to review.

I know, that sounds spoilt. But it is what it is.

Next, I need processes.

I’ll be mapping out exactly what the perfect product review looks like – in both written and video form.

So that my team of plant-based superstars know exactly what to do.

Then, I need links.

While I would love to rank a DR7 website for money keywords, that’s not gonna happen.

So, I’ve enlisted the help ofย Linkifiย who will be getting only the safest white-hat digital PR links from massive publications.

I’ve worked with these guys many times before and they always do the best job.

It’s hands-off, they just send me the links they build each month.

I’m ready for the challenge.

This isn’t going to be easy.

It isn’t going to be quick.

But in a year’s time, I hope to have a profitable and memorable brand that runs without too much of my input.

That’s the dream.

Watch this space.

P.S. Yes, of course, I’ll still being doing Facebook!

Facebook will send a lot of traffic, and I’ll use pop-ups to get those people on my email list, where I can then sell them products.

If Facebook is on your agenda for 2025 too, then remember that NSL email subscribers can getย 25% offย my custom software,ย Niche Toolbox, with coupon codeย 25TOOLBOX.
