Yesterday I sent an email that shared my current strategy.

I explained how I’m putting 95% of my efforts into my main site, with 5% into my backup plan, Vegan Wins.

I had a few questions about why I’m doing SEO, given that the consensus is that ‘SEO for niche sites is dead’.

Very valid questions!

Well, SEO takes a long time.

So by starting SEO for Vegan Wins now, I’ll be in the best position for the future.

A healthy backlink profile includes a trickle of links over a long period time, not just a quick burst.

But won’t everyone be using ChatGPT instead of Google anyway?

It’s going that way, yes.

My main site is already getting a fair amount of traffic from ChatGPT…

If only article production could be as hand-off as link building (which has been 100% hands-off – I’ve not lifted a finger!)

The good thing about having a strong backlink profile is that it’s there forever.

This summer, I have an incredibly packed schedule of travel.

But when the time comes to go all-in on growing the vegan site, I’ll have a huge headstart.
