#2 | Recovery takes at least 12 months 😩

Hi

You might have noticed that went AWOL Twitter for a week.

I disappeared somewhere with no wifi…

And no phone signal for the most part.

I cut off from everything,

To spend 7 days with my husband and kids.

It was bliss!

Here’s my daughter enjoying the view…

You see,

Business owners like you and me

We work so hard

That we NEED to recharge our batteries

To stay sane.

Burnout is a real problem for many people in our industry.

And on average, it takes from 12 to 36 months to recover.

Prevention is better than cure, so they say.

So I try to disconnect completely every couple of months.

The great thing about having a niche websites business,

Is that when we take a week off

We shouldn’t see any drop in earnings!

Woohoo!

While I was away,

I made over $7,000.

Without doing ANY work at all.

That was more than enough to cover the cost of the trip.

Of course,

When I started all of this,

I was working 60+ hour weeks

And earning only a couple of dollars per hour.

It was HARD.

But, I’m so glad I kept it up.

Wherever you are on your journey,

Keep going!

(But take breaks)

It’s worth it,

I promise!
